The Ephor story is one of principles, a love of process, and wealth creation.   Founded in 2003 by Garry E. Meier, today Ephor is comprised of a seasoned team of experts at transforming small books of business into platform leaders (specifically companies that are “perform driven” by the daily performance of their employees such as technology-enabled service businesses). 

Every member on our team has a rare combination of both Operating (CEO, CFO, CSO) experiences for the industries they serve as well as institutional investment experience with private equity and related investment types which allows our team to tie strategy to tactics on any issue and solve each challenge with a) domain expertise, b) a solution that increases valuation, and c) tactics which guarantee meaningful ROI.

Garry E. Meier founded Ephor Group to pass on the management methodologies and wealth creating strategies he and his colleagues developed over the past three decades.  Garry originally founded the Ephor Group as SPM&I (Strategic Performance Management & Improvement) in 2003 following two public company Chairman and CEO assignments, and after having been involved in some of America’s well known high growth success stories including Edward Jones & Co.  & Technology Service Solutions .  SPM&I was rebranded Ephor Group in 2007.  

Garry’s management and wealth advisor expertise is illustrated in such notable success stories as:

1. Founding Partner of Edward Jones & Co – One of all the all-time great American service business success stories which brought “Wall Street to Main Street.”
   
2. One of Garry’s marquee deals was Technology Service Solutions (also known as “TSS”) which developed A+ Certification and was sold to IBM in the 90’s as part of their transition from hardware/software to services.
   
3. Chairman & CEO of Outsource International which was the largest BPO/HRO provider in 2000 and ended up being purchased by Spherion and Gevity.
   
4. Created the largest ASO provider (HRAmerica) which was purchased by Gevity. 
5. ePago (Payment Processing bring banking to the “unbanked”) purchased by LACS which was later purchased by Western Union.
6. ADPi, an Emergency Medicine Billing Services for Revenue Cycle Management purchased by Intermedix in 2008. 

 

Garry has had a dozen Chairman, Board, and Advisor roles which are a library of great American success stories.   Today, Garry provides board level guidance and oversight to Ephor’s portfolio clients and other institutional investors.
